  • Stuart Berry

    Chief Executive Officer

    Stuart has 25 years of experience in heritage and community projects. He is formerly the manager of Pembroke Dock Heritage Centre, and was then the lead at PLANED for their culture, heritage and tourism projects, before taking on this exciting role as Haverfordwest Heritage’s first Chief Executive Officer.

  • Richard Blacklaw-Jones

    Director, Chair

    Richard is an artist and former Haverfordwest town councillor with experience in collectively managing several public amenity areas such as the town’s racecourse parks and playing fields, the community centre, and former graveyards, which are now wildlife pocket parks. He also has experience of fundraising and community engagement as a Director for a local community-initiated slaughterhouse.

  • Phillip Evitt

    Director, Vice Chair

    Retired headmaster and history teacher, currently renovating own heritage building project and enthusiastic supporter of Haverfordwest history.

  • Kay Dearing

    Director, Treasurer

    Long-time Haverfordwest resident, Kay is an experienced accountant and charity trustee.

  • Heidi Baker

    Project Manager, Printworks

    Heidi is an experienced social graphic design and printmaker, with 30 years' experience of branding and marketing for the third sector. She is a part-time lecturer in art and design at Pembrokeshire College and founder of Popty Press.

  • Gitti Coats

    Advisor, Fundraising

    Gitti Coats is a Director of Haverhub. She successfully acquired, renovated and reopened the town’s historic grade 2 listed old post office, securing the building for the community. Experienced in fundraising and large-scale property renovation, Gitti brings acutely relevant experience to the team.

  • Chris Evans

    Advisor, Architect

    Chris is an experienced architect and lecturer in architecture. As a former Haverfordwest Town Councillor he has in-depth knowledge of the Haverfordwest community and built environment.

  • Simon Hancock

    Honorary President, Historian

    Dr Simon Hancock is a well-respected expert on Haverfordwest history. He is a published author on Haverfordwest, and curator of Haverfordwest Museum, with a Ph.D. from Cardiff University for his thesis on Pembrokeshire in the first world war. He is a Pembrokeshire County Council Councillor, a trustee of the Pembrokeshire Historic Buildings Trust, and Chair of the Haverfordwest Civic Society.

  • Susana North-Bates

    Advisor, Heritage Property

    Dr Susan North-Bates is an architectural historian with a specialism in architectural conservation and vernacular buildings. Susana is an experienced artist, having Arts Council England supported solo and touring exhibitions, and a former member of Yorkshire Artspace Society, sourcing and providing affordable studio and workshop space for artists, designers and craftspeople.

  • Matt Pyart

    Advisor, Heritage Building Conservation

    Matt is the former Historic Building Conservation Officer at Pembrokeshire County Council, and now Built Heritage Officer for Carmarthenshire County Council.

  • Pete Sedgwick

    Advisor, Town Planning

    Pete is an experienced town planner, currently working at Pembrokeshire County Council and previously having worked at Pembrokeshire Coast National Park Authority and through his own consultancy.
